Early Bird Artisan/Artist Applications Open

Hi,

I have had a few inquiries about the next event occurrence. If you want to participate in the next event, you can apply for a booth now. I won’t actually send out invoices until the venue and I have signed a contract. My target date is July 25th, 2020. (I will set up an “quickie” vendor application for repeat vendors shortly.)

I am currently thinking-over the times for the next event. The first one was scheduled to end at 8pm, but after 6pm, only 3 packs of guests showed up. The vendors looked pretty tired and it felt odd sitting in the mostly empty venue, so I am cutting the end time down to 6pm.

On the other end of the spectrum, a guest walked in at 11:30am, even though the published start time was noon. As the organizer, I was not fully ready with my booth since I was moving around tables, but I was very glad to have an eager guest come in. I am not sure if I will stick with the noon start time, or bump it to 11am. I think the set up time will need to stick to 9am at the earliest, as I can’t get to the venue sooner. I am unsure if a 2 hour set up time is enough, so I might stick with noon as the published “open” time, to keep the 3 hour set up time.

I considered doing a March event, but I don’t think there is enough time to organize for 2020, but it could be possible in 2021. I dipped into personal funds to cover the first event (2019) with the venue and marketing cost, so I need a bit of time to personally plan for these expenses again. I really do hope to have the venue full for the July event. It would be great to break even with the venue and even more great to have the venue filled with so many handmade items on that hot July day.
