Call for Artists and Artisans for November 2021!

Alright, I was very cautious about event announcements this year for 2021.

Back in 2020, I started advertising my November event in January, and then had to retract and refund everything due to COVID-19. I did not want to do the same again this year.

I have been keeping an eye on the vaccination rates and positivity rates in the area and both numbers are looking favourable. I can’t delay to push advertising to vendors any more, at the risk of them booking up elsewhere. It looks like there are concerts and other markets resuming in the fall, so my event will be too.

I am not looking to rent an empty venue, so I invite other artists and artisans to apply for a booth at the 2021 Hand Job. From what I can tell, consumers are eager to get out, but I can in no way guarantee that. The 2019 event was good and it seemed all of the vendors made good sales. I have learned which advertising channels worked better and which were flops, and I will be re-allocating my money to the channels that brought in the guests.

The venue is owned by the City of Leon Valley, but as of to date, they do not seem to have any specific COVID restrictions. I have taken the Janssen vaccine, and I am hoping that you all will be taking measures to reduce your chances of dying from COVID-19 as well.

With that being said, please feel free to apply to the event. I am pretty accepting of what you define as an art or craft. Basically, I just do not want you to buy items in bulk and then re-sell them at the event, or to sell MLM items. Everything must be made by hand and with passion!
